A New Art Venture

My favorite blog from Nylon Magazine never disappoints and last night was no exception. Not only did I find some interesting articles I found an art project that I am ecstatic to be apart of. It is called The Sketchbook Project.

Read about it here :

Thanks for checking out my blog. I look forward to sharing the pages of my sketchbook project with you. I start in a couple of weeks. So excited.

Now back to working on the new Mad Colour and Alonys Art websites.

Much Love and Alonys kisses.

Addicted to Japanese Fashion

I love fashion and art. Today featured on Nylons blog in the Radar Art section, I came across this entry that epitomizes both... its a Japanese Fashion exhibit in NYC.

I'll be visiting Japan in a month and I am so excited to become inspired once again by the individual and yet cutting edge style of the Japanese people, and of course get some fashion magazines.

Check out the piece here and if you are lucky enough to be in NYC I would definitely check this exhibit out.

Much love and Alonys kisses.

Obsessed with Nylon Magazine

I've missed blogging.....

It's been a long time since I have added anything to the blog. My apologies.

I have been exploring new avenues including singing and songwriting for a new project that I will tell you more about very soon. I am very excited.

The summer has been a busy one with shows and events, and as we enter into the Fall season (one of my favorites) I become even more fashion obsessed.

One of my favorite sources for fashion news is Nylon Magazine.

If you love cutting edge fashion, art, and music news check out the Radar section of .

This was featured today and I love the creativity of this video. Enjoy.

Thank you for checking out the spill.

Much love and Alonys kisses.

CeeHaz The Barber Gives Alonys New Look

Over the weekend good friend and celebrity barber Ceehaz The Barber came into town

to shoot a video with Revolutioneyez Media photographer Adrian Ojerio.

With an element of arts theme this video features myself, Talkbox Artist Fingadelic, Streetlight Music artist Sage Baby,
and many more...

While waiting for my shot, I decided to have Ceehaz transform me and create a design
in my canvas of hair.

I was a little apprehensive...taking all day to decide. With the strong support and excitement of my
husband swaying me more into yes, by the time it was my time to shoot I had decided....

Fck Yeah! Let's do it!!! It's only hair and I'm for living in the moment.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and comments on my decision. I am very happy that I did.

Here is a little footage taken when I got my head shaved and designed.

Its a little abstract, but would you expect anything else from an abstract artist?

Enjoy the video and thank you again to CeeHaz The Barber for my new look... alonys kisses.

Variety is the spice to life

On a beautiful wednesday SoCal day we headed to Hollywood to complete day 2 of the shoot. After the shoot we headed to Lost Souls Cafe to meet up with the owner Justin, who by the way is very cool and exudes a very positive and friendly vibe.

I can't resist an espresso after a long day, especially in a cafe with such a relaxing bar. This is not only a relaxing cafe with great food and vibe, but they showcase a new artist every month and participate in the downtown LA monthly artwalk.

Whether you choose to be on your laptop, watch the flat screens at the bar, all while listening to a compatible mix of music, your mood will be set right.

This cafe gained my 'Good Eats' stamp once I became introduced to the Turkey Berry SunBread Sandwich and the popular Ube Shake. Both light and flavorful I was left wanting more. The Hummus Wrap and Basil Pesto Turkey kept calling my name. I can't wait to try those sandwiches.

With pocket friendly prices and a casual cool atmosphere this cafe will be a staple in my Downtown LA visits.

Galleries, Studios, Designs....

Welcome to this weeks Gallery Spill....

It's been very busy in the world of Alonys Art and Mad Colour. If you haven't been able to keep up daily on the social networks no worries, you can always get it all here.

If you follow the blog thank you. It means a lot. And if you like what you see, please share the site with a fellow art lover.

Over the past few weeks Alonys Art found a few new homes. Malibu Gallery Art & Framing has become one of them.

If you find yourself in Malibu, California please feel free to stop by and say hi to gallery owner Louie Torres. I had the pleasure of meeting Louie and visiting his gallery last weekend. Louie took a liking to my artwork and is now displaying "Operation". A piece that is apart of my new 3D collection exploring human behaviour and emotions in relationships and the entertainment industry. It is always an honor to have a gallery see something in your work, but it makes it even sweeter when it is across the street of the amazing beach alongside PCH.
I look forward to sharing my artwork with Malibu Gallery Art & Framing and offering them my abstract point of view. Also the framework is amazing there, so if you need framing for existing artwork Louie is your man. Visit online gallery

The first time anyone had the opportunity to witness an Alonys Art work was in a music studio. None other than the infamous Streetlight Music "Purple Room" Studio. To this day I thank them for allowing my artwork to be apart of their creative process and bring a little more colour to their world...afterall the walls were already purple... they didn't need artwork. The Purple Room is a memory now and my artwork currently graces the walls of their new and much bigger studio in Rancho Cucamonga. It is to this day an honor to have so many different artists have the opportunity to see my artwork from around the world, and I always secretly hope it enhances and brings a unique element to their creative process while creating music with one of the most amazing producers of our time Fingazz, also known as Talkbox Master Fingadelic.

Through showcasing my artwork at Streetlight Music, Alonys Art caught the eye of Side3 Studio owner Adelio Lombardi. Based in Denver, Colorado Side3 Studios is the premier recording studio for the biggest names in the industry when they go Mile High. Once coined the 'Spinning or Rotating' Studio on a blog by Kanye West, this studio and its producers have built a name for themselves, and they've allowed Alonys Art to be apart of that by displaying my artwork in their Denver and now (as of last week) LA studios. Congratulations.

As an artist I feel blessed to have the opportunity to have my artwork be apart of a art form I hold dear to my creative heart and soul, that is music. Thank you Streetlight Music. Also Thank You to Adelio, DJ Frank E and Side3 Studios for your continuous support of Alonys Art and Mad Colour. I look forward to seeing your new studio finished.

Coming Soon: Re-Design Your Designer Collection

Re-Design your Designer Collection with Alonys Art

Painted in Citizens of Humanity
Painted in True Religion
Painted in BLANK

As a painter and one that dresses by mood my clothes don't stand a chance against this cocktail of circumstance. I would say a good 80% of my clothes have paint on them. Of course I could be 'responsible' and only wear certain clothes when I paint, but how boring would that be...So with that said here begins the story of The Re-Design Your Designer Collection.

The Re-Design your Designer Collection concept was born organically from the mentioned above and a very generous gift from a friend we will refer to as the denimgoddess. After meeting one another she bestowed upon me a pluthara of designer jeans. In that moment I had a fashion orgasm and the concept came alive.

I never set out to paint in these beautiful well fitting specimens of fashion, but as I stated before I have this thing about being fashionable when I paint. What you wear reflects your mood, and my mood reflects my art. It's all synergy baby.

I know, who would dare wipe paint on a $300 pair of jeans??? Blasphemy!!!

I'll tell you, Alonys the Artist and The DenimGoddess !

I will explain why in fact she is the goddess. Besides the fact that she knows and has personally worn every designer denim product known to fashion man, she has an original way of thinking when it comes to fashion and she absolutely loved the random paint swipes on my jeans. (Upon meeting her I was wearing Levis with paint on them) . People will ask where did I get my jeans or ask if I did them myself. The beauty of it is I did and they carry a piece of many of my artworks on them with every swipe.

It's hard to be original, especially in this economy when every cent counts. So instead of seeking out the next thing on the runway, sometimes all you have to do is revamp what you have.

There is something mysterious about paint. Especially on clothes. It's definitely a conversation piece and can create curiosity. Are you a artist? Are you sleeping with an artist? Did you get in a paint fight? Were you spending quality time with your kids? The list goes on and on.

Whether you like sporadic swipes or more strategic splats or designs
The Re-Design Your Designer Collection is here so you can Live Life in Colour.....Mad Colour.

(This collection will be available May 2010)

Alonys Art seen on MTV Cribs

Alonys Art "Reppin tha' A" on MTV Cribs Episode 1705 The Pro Basketball Edition with Carmelo Anthony and La La Vazquez

It's always a good morning when you realize you are here to 'play' on earth one more day, but it's even better when you receive an email from one of your best friends that they just saw your artwork on MTV Cribs!

A few years ago I had the privilege of visiting the amazing home of LaLa Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony while on a trip to Denver, Colorado. During that visit I had the opportunity to show LaLa my art portfolio and in that moment she became an Alonys Art collector of 2 of my artworks ("Reppin' tha' A" and "Label Me This")

In this episode of MTV Cribs Pro Basketball Edition LaLa and Melo take us on a tour of their amazing Denver home and once in their game room aka Melo's Room you will see "Reppin' tha' A" on the wall to the side of the television (around 4:21 of the episode).

Much love to the power couple and I hope to meet again.

Enjoy the show ;)

Fingazz presents Femme-Bot "Electro-Popular" - THE FIRST ROBOT ARTIST IN HISTORY!!!!!

Hey everyone,

The wait is FINALLY OVER!!!

Here is a project I've been working on for years with Fingazz (music producer/husband extraordinaire) that we have finally released that I really want you to check out: <<<<<<------------------------------------------------------------------------

About Femme-Bot

Femme-Bot is a concept project, a musical story from a woman in the not too distant future who goes thru a techno-metamorphosis.
The pressures of perfection and the promises of electro-popularity change a future society of humans into "BOTS".

Blending an extremely electronic pop sound with robotic vocals makes for something you may have never heard before...
The entire album "The Future Is Now" is available for purchase on iTunes, but can be sampled here:

My Art + Love for V-Day 2010

These are the cards I created for the "The Gift of Giving Art and Love" to Patients at Children's Hospital.

"When asked to participate in the Valentine's Day Project by Crewest Gallery, I immediately responded with yes. The mere thought of bringing a smile to a child in the hospital, especially on a day dedicated to love was to me a priceless gift, I could not pass up."

Ask Me Anything Anytime

I was on twitter yesterday and found out about this site called from one of my friends Danny. He had set an account up and I checked it out and thought, how cool is this.
Sooo, I decided to follow in his internet footsteps and set an account up.

Basically its a site where you can submit questions anytime about anything to me and I will gladly answer. While you're at it, if you like it, set one up for yourself and we can 'interview' each other.

Look forward to seeing the questions and more excited to answer your questions, ultimately quenching your curiosity about my life, art, and more.

Alonys kisses.
